Faulkner Engineering Services, Inc. (FES) was founded in 2005 by Mr. David W. Faulkner, P.E. FES is a full service Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing (CMT) firm specializing in residential, commercial, governmental and industrial projects. In addition, FES performs Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments. FES has earned a reputation of performing value engineering, providing alternative solutions for construction and engineering issues, communicating to our clients, quality control, impeccable service and timely reporting. FES has assembled a team of highly trained and motivated professionals who are dedicated to providing the best service possible to our clients. Our geotechnical engineering professionals are experienced in the design of shallow and deep foundation systems including drilled shaft, driven piles and cast-in-place (auger cast) piles; slope stability analysis; retaining wall design; settlement analysis; sinkhole investigation and remediation design; pavement design; underdrain evaluation and design; permeability analysis; landfill design and quality assurance testing; and earth dam design. Our field and laboratory technicians have at a minimum ACI (American Concrete Institute) and Nuclear Density Gauge Radiation Safety certifications. We have an in-house laboratory capable of serving all our clients needs including moisture-density relationships ( Proctors); Limerock Bearing Ratio (LBR) tests; Florida Bearing Value (FBV) tests; Soil classifications; concrete compressive strength testing; soil-cement mix designs; organic content testing; asphalt extraction/gradation; and hydraulic conductivity using flexible and rigid wall permeameters. Our field technicians perform field density testing, concrete testing, materials sampling, and construction monitoring and quality assurance inspections. Our environmental staff performs Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments for a variety of residential, commercial and industrial sites. We also have an excellent support staff of administrative personnel and Auto-CADD technicians.
